Iran’s Leader Vows Kerman Terror Attack Not to Remain Unpunished

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Southeastern Iranian city of Kerman, and stressed that the response to the deadly bombings will be harsh.

According to rahyafte (the missionaries and converts website):”The enemies of the Iranian nation once again created a disaster and martyred a large number of dear people in Kerman,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a message on Wednesday.

“Cruel criminals should understand that the soldiers of Qassem Soleimani’s path do not tolerate their vileness and crime and they must know that they will be harshly dealt with from now on and a fair punishment awaits them,” he added.

He added that “this heinous act will provoke a firm response, God willing”.

More than 100 people were martyred and over 210 injured in the Iranian city of Kerman after twin blasts near a cemetery where a ceremony was being held to mark the 4th martyrdom anniversary of anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

The first explosion occurred at 14:50 local time. The second one took place 10 minutes later. The first blast was 700 meters from the late commander’s grave, and the second was 1 kilometer away as pilgrims visited the site.

Iranian officials described the incident as a terrorist attack.

Ayatollah Khamenei also described the perpetrators of the twin bombings as the “rogue and murderous enemies of the Iranian people”.

He offered condolences to the bereaved families of those martyred in the tragic incident, and wished divine mercy on the martyrs and swift recovery for the injured.
