God Loves Those Who Love Him

God says in the Quran that it does not matter if some are unthankful and unappreciative and do not understand the importance of loving God because they will soon be replaced by people who love God and God loves them as well.

According to Rahyafte(the missionaries and converts website):God says in Verse 54 of Surah Al-Ma’idah: “Believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion, Allah will bring a nation whom He loves and they love Him, humble towards the believers and stern towards the unbelievers, striving for the Path of Allah and fearless of anyone’s blame. Such is the Bounty of Allah; He bestows it on whom He will. He is the Embracer, the Knower.”

It is a warning from the Creator of the Universe to those who are unthankful, telling that it does not matter if they do not understand the importance of loving God because they will soon be replaced by people who love God and God loves them as well.

Among the characteristics of those who love God is that they act humbly in interacting with believers and good-doers but sternly toward unbelievers and unjust-doers.

If all people want to follow the path of God and enter His paradise, there would be no shortage of space and any limitations. The only reason that does not happen is because people deprive themselves from that status.

The two words Yahibbuhum (loves them) and Yuhibbunah (they love Him) cover man’s bonds with God, with others, and with nature.

The meaning of these two words has filled the whole world. Wherever they are absent, there is no trace of happiness, joy and contentment. Love is also what warms family relationships. These two words lead society to balance and to salvation. In a nation where the government and the nation love one another and love is the basis in all interactions, no problem remains unsolved.

In this verse, God also points to the issue of Irtidad (apostasy) and reproaches those who do not appreciate God’s blessings.

In another verse, God says about apostates that they will be in loss.

As there is no compulsion in religion, if someone rejects the religion, no one can force him to accept it. It would be up to him to bear the consequences.
