Al-Aqsa Flood Operation A Strategic Blow to Enemy: Hamas

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh described the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by the resistance forces in Gaza against the Zionist regime as a strategic defeat for the enemy.

According to rahyafte (the missionaries and converts website):Haniyeh said the Israeli regime is incapable of confronting the Palestinian resistance and that is why it has resorted to the massacre of civilians, Al-Mayadeen reported.

The Zionists launched a campaign of killing and displacement of civilians to make up for their defeat and the blow they received from the October 7 operation, he stated.

Haniyeh hailed the resistance forces for launching the operation that is considered the beginning of the decline of the occupation.

“The strategic blow dealt to the occupiers is proof that liberation of our lands is within reach,” he noted.

“We will continue the strategy of liberation and return despite the enemy measures and the all-out support (for Israel) from the US and the West.”

Haniyeh further dismissed the idea of sending the people of Gaza to Egypt, saying there will be no migration from the Gaza Strip.

The decision to force out the people of Gaza from their land will end in failure, he stated.

The Hamas official also thanked all of those who have supported the Palestinian resistance against occupation and called for the continuation of the support.

The West Bank should also remain active because “we are all one nation and we all want the occupiers to leave our land and we want to establish a country in Palestine with al-Quds as its capital.”

Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7. The attack, named Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, involved a ground and air assault on the Israeli settlements near the Gaza Strip, as well as a massive rocket barrage on the cities of Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and others. Analysts believe the attack dealt a huge blow to the Israeli regime and the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The operation shocked the security and military apparatus of the regime, which failed to anticipate or prevent it.

Palestinian resistance fighters announced that the operation was a response to years of oppression, occupation, and desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli regime and its illegal settlers.

Shocked by the Palestinian operation, the Israeli regime has launched a campaign of murder and destruction in the Gaza Strip, killing hundreds of innocent people and destroying homes, schools, hospitals and infrastructures in the coastal enclave.
