There are also worldly darlings that we should like, such as parents, children, properties, money, etc. Islam has recommended that we should like them but not so much that they would interfere with our relationship with God.
One who trains himself by remembering the inevitability of death will not have satanic darlings. Also, worldly darlings would not overshadow divine darlings in his heart. He would only have one true darling and one true love.
We should try to prevent the love of the world to be in our heart and should only strive to take the necessary provision from it for the next world.
We should pray to God to remove the love of the world from our heart and the heart of our children.
