+ Your welcome agha . Sure , I am Maytham , i converted to islam maybe in 2007 or 2006 so around 13 to 14 years ago . I have two children and I am married to my wife who is also a convert . I volunteer as a teacher online at quran and etrat online university and I am also doing some other other scholarly activities . I also run a pre hawza called zakatul ilm pre hawzah

In the name of Allah So brother you are 34 year old man and converted to Islam about 14 years ago How was the life before you convert to Islam habibi Your feelings, your worldview And what motivated you to convet to Islam?
MAYTHAM : Life before converting had its positive and negative points, my mother and father had married in around the late 1970s so by the time I was born I had two brothers. My parents had a sense of care for God but were not church attending type of people. My parents had their own issues and I grew up being evicted out of many homes. And alot of arguments, I exhausted alot of efforts to try to get my parents to get along, as a young child
As I grew older I really avoided much about religious studies my father had giving me a new testament but it mainly sat around, and I did have a kind of education from my family and movies. One good point I can mention is my father had once told me that Allah means God. My dad was very embracing tonothers although he holds his own views we had some conflict on ideas later. But when I was young he even took us to a hindu temple to visit. Around 15 years ago I had started a bussiness in the music enterprise that failed. While we were holding the program that failed an friend of my fathers came to visit us he was an W African america man about and he took me for a walk and told me that I look like the religious type. So within that year something had happened to me, I had become very interested in learning about christian religion, I read bible
So there was a lot of negative things about islam around online. And I had somehow found a website that offers free quran. So I ordered one. And I said to myself that I will wait until.finishing reading quran, but needless to say I could not wait to convert. And was amazed with quranic truths
INTERVIEWER : Nice brother MashaAllah And i heard you are shiah, It is really hard over there to have a good prospect from shiah Islam You are a chosen one i congratulate you
MAYTHAM : Yes so I had only sunni sawa in the beginning and I got a copy of bukhari and somehow maybe a year or more after converting maybe even 2 years. I had read some shia hadith in sunni books it was compiled online. And bought a copy of nahjul balagha. Needless to say I became shia and have been so ever since

How is your feeling about Islam and Shiah?
What do you think about the superiority of Shiah belief over other religions?
MAYTHAM : I think when comparing authentic islam to other religions and even authentic shia islam we find that it is the purest monotheism and the most sound intellectually, and such a sound belief system and practical guidence can only be sent by an all knowing Creator. Without such a path mankind would fall into many mistakes the only thing is we must be careful to follow it and cling to it firmly.
