According to rahyafteha(the missionaries and converts website):It will be launched on Thursday morning, February 23, with a speech by Ayatollah Reza Aarafi, the director of Iran’s Islamic seminaries, Hpjat-ol-Islam Saeed Bakhshi, the scientific secretary of the conference said.
180 papers in Arabic, English and Persian have been submitted to the secretariat of the conference.
He added that 48 of the papers will be presented and discussed at four panels in the conference.
“Youth, Intizar (awaiting the savior) and Islamic Revolution” is the theme of this year’s scholarly event, Hojat-ol-Islam Bakhshi noted.
A number of different academic and other institutes, including the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), the International Quran News Agency (IQNA), and the municipalities of Tehran and Qom, have cooperated in organizing the event, he added.
Mahdism refers to the belief that the last Shia Imam, Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), will reappear at the end of time and spread justice in the world.
In recent years, there have been many attempts by enemies of Shia Islam aimed at undermining the Mahdism doctrine and spreading doubts about it.
