According to Rahyafte(the missionaries and converts website): My name is Mihály Nagy from hungary

️So please tell what was your previous religion and how did you become a Muslim??

I was not baptised so I cant tell you that I was Christian I started to read about Islam when I studied in Egypt. I spent some years in Cairo and studied Arabic In Hungary I studied political sciences and in 2002 I moved to Egypt and I started my studies in the International Language Institute (in Cairo) The school was coeducated. There were boys and girls. Students from many countries. From East and West. Students, diplomats, military personel…

See the Persian text here

️Were you a religious person?

when I went to Egypt I was not a religious one. I was 21 and I moved there to study Arabic. But in 2009 I moved to Syria and studied Farsi in the Iranian Cultural Center

️So what made you attracted to Islam? I m so conservative person and at first I prefered the traditionals values. To respect God and family. To keep an order in the society. I think these values died in the Western societies. And after that I read books about Islam. But off course at first I had to study enough Arabic to understand those books. In my free time I visited the Azhar mosque many times. I started to studied praying there and i stared to study . The peaceful enviroment of the Azhar attracted me. It was so peaceful. And when you hear the Adhan everybody knows his (or her) duty and goes to pray. You can feel the togetherness of the people there.

️Did you go to church too?

No , But I visited the famous churches in Egypt. Anyway the Christians and Muslims live together in peace there.

️How many siblings do you have and what is the religion of your family?

I have one sister، But my family is not religious and they are not interested in religions.

️How did they treat you when you became Muslim?

They were not interested. They lived in Hungary and I lived in Egypt and other countries You know in Eastern Europe only 60 – 70 percent of the people are religious But in the West its less than 50 percent _

️How do the people of your country view Islam and Muslims?

Anyway we also have muslim countries in Eastern Europe Just think about Bosnia, Albania Those are muslim countries for 500 years They accepted Islam in the 14 th century 45 years of communism destroyed the religious values in Eastern Europe.

Communist governments banned the praying and closed mosques People started the returned to Islam after the regime changes in the region And after the Balkan wars in the 90 s In the past we were occupied by the Ottoman Empire. And after that we were the part of the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy where we had many muslim citizens. In the past wars muslim soldiers also fought and died for our country .(Albanians Bosnians) They were respected people of our society Between 1960 – 70 many muslim students came to Hungary. From Arabic countries and Iran also They studied here and many of them stood here, married here and started to work here

️So Muslims are not unknown people to your people They are not unknown Some sources say that there are around 40 – 50 thousand muslims in our country. And we have good relations with the brotherly Turanian nations Turkiye for example

️When did you read the Quran for the first time?

What attracted you to it? At first I didnt read the QURAN. I heard it in the Azhar mosque I had to study Arabic first Anyway the old Arabic caligraphy attracted me first And the history of Prophet Mohamed (saw) and those people who established the Khilafa Off course at first I studied the Surat Al-Fatiha because of praying And after that I studied the short Suras Al-ikhlas, An-Nas Because the difficulty of its study I studied the short ones first I think everybody starts with them

️Why go to Syria to learn Farsi? Did you think they are Fars?

I started to study Farsi in my university in Hungary. I heard about the Iranian Cultural Center here And after that I moved there Off course I know that Syria is Arab country but it was the easiest place to reach And that time we had direct flifghts there.

️ Looking at the Qur’an

also giv es a person peace, isn’t it?
Off course. And I heard that many western people started to read Quran after heard its recitation like In England and Germany
️Do you try to make the people of the world familiar with Islam?
Yes. You know many times you have to explain people that Islam is different what they see in Western (soecially US) media And off course that you have to tell them that its not what the radical salafist show you. And you have to explain them that politics stand behind the radicalism Thank you dear brother
