In both Shia and Sunni references, there are many Sayings from Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H&HP) which directly refer to Fatima al-Zahra(SA) and her high position. For instance, he said: ” The best women of Paradise are Khadije bint Khuwaylid, Fatima bint Mohammad (P.B.U.H&HP), Maryam bint Imran and Asiya bint Muzahim, the wife of Firawn.” (al-Hakim in Mustadrak al-Sahihayn) these remarks can not be seen just in the context of “father-daughter” relationship; it throws light on the spiritual status of Lady Fatima(SA). After all, the Prophet(P.B.U.HH&HP) “doesn’t talk from his own accord; [whatever he says is] nothing except a revelation which is revealed to him.”(53:3-4)
Beside these Hadithes, there are other sayings that when we put them together, we can reach the supreme place of Fatima al-Zahra(SA) before Allah. For example, during the battle of Khandaq, when Imam Ali(a.s) was going to face ‘Amr bin Abdowad’, who was a very famous warrior and nobody dared to fight with him, the Prophet (P.B.U.H&HP) said, “today the total faith is going to face the total disbelief.”
In the other Hadith of the Prophet it is said that a man’s faith is incomplete until he gets married. So according to these two Hadithes, although Imam Ali (as) is the total faith but without Lady Fatima (SA) -who is his wife- the faith won’t be completed.
