The program includes Tarteel recitation of the Quran, Quran recitation by four top qaris from different parts of Sweden, Ibtihal recitation, interpretation of the Quran, Tawasheeh (religious songs) performance, and a Quran competition.
The participants will then say Maghrib and Isha prayers and break their fast.
During the program, winners of a Quran competition organized by the center on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan will also be awarded.
Ramadan, which started on March 23, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.
The Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) heart in this month.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.
They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
