God’s Justice A Reason for Resurrection

God is Adil (just) and in order to give rewards to good-doers and punish evil-doers, another world has been prepared that does not have the imperfections of the world for rewarding and punishing.

According to Rahyafte (the missionaries and converts website):In order to believe something will happen there should be some components. First, the possibility of it happening. Second, there should be a logical reason for it.

There are strong reasons for the resurrection that both the Quran and the intellect approve of. One of the reasons is God’s Adl and another is His Hikma (wisdom).

In the Quran, there are many verses that ask whether those who do good and those who do evil are equal.

“Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin?” (Surah Saad, Verse 28)

“Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin?” (Surah Al-Qalam, Verse 35)

“Can he, then, who is a believer, be compared to he who is wicked? They are not equal.” (Surah As-Sajdah, Verse 18)

“Do those who commit evil deeds think that We will make them (equal) to the believers who do good works, so that in life and death they shall be alike? How evil they judge!” (Surah Al-Jathiya, Verse 21)

Because God is Adil and because this world has limitations, there must be resurrection and evaluation of deeds.

People are two groups regarding how they react to the orders of God and prophets. Some obey and some disobey them. The Holy Quran says: “It is He who has created you all but some of you have accepted the faith and some of you have not. God is Well Aware of what you do.”(Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 2)

There are not always rewards and punishments for good and bad deeds in this world and when there are, they are not balanced. So if there is no evaluation of deeds and no rewards and punishments somewhere else, like on Resurrection Day, God’s Adl would be undermined.
