Contemplating Quran A Shortcut to Science

Contemplating the Holy Quran and its teachings is a way to reach discoveries in science as the Quran has profound teachings.

According to Rahyafte (the missionaries and converts website):As the James Webb Telescope is sending images from depths of space, it reminds us of verse 33 of Surah Ar-Rahman that talks about “the diameters of the heavens”.

Imam Ali (AS) advises Muslims to be careful so that non-Muslims would not overtake them in acting and benefiting from the Quran.

We should do research and reflect on the Quran. That is why Hadiths say that one hour of thinking and contemplation is better than years of worshiping. If one contemplates on his creation for an hour, he will become a believer.

One should think why his skin does not disappear while 40,000 skin cells die in our body every minute.

We have a process called autophagy, which is the natural, conserved degradation of the cell that removes unnecessary or dysfunctional components through a lysosome-dependent regulated mechanism. It allows the orderly degradation and recycling of cellular components. Fasting helps this process.

There are many scientific articles about this that can be found on the Internet. Islam has taught us since 1,400 years ago to fast unless we are sick.

We must read and contemplate the Quran and pay attention to these references. Of course it is not for everyone to interpret the Holy Book but if we purify our hearts, we can find many things. God has ordered us to contemplate the verses of the Quran and signs of creation.

There are many signs to contemplate in our creation. We cannot have turned from a single cell into what we are now without guidance. There must have been a guidance.

Even Charles Darwin’s views do not contradict the monotheistic view of creation. No evolution expert says a single cell can turn into a human being without guidance.

We Muslims must read the Quran to realize that we have a shortcut to the pinnacle of science. That shortcut is contemplating the Holy Quran and reading the verses without any bias. It is then that the light of science and knowledge is reflected on our heart. If we turn to God, we can make use of such shortcuts.
