Tehran to Host Int’l Conference on History of Medicine in Iran, Islam

The second edition of the International Conference on History of Medicine in Iran and Islam will be held in Tehran later this month.

According to Rahyafte (the missionaries and converts website):According to Arman Zargaran, an official with the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the university’s Faculty of Iranian Medicine will hold the scholarly event in cooperation with a number of other academic centers and institutes.

He said more than 30 foreign scholars from countries like Turkey, the US, Germany, Bangladesh, Italy, India, the Netherlands, Tunisia and France will attend the conference, which is slated for November 27-29.

A total of 150 papers have been submitted to the secretariat of the conference, 56 of which will be presented at the three-day event, he added.

The first edition of the international conference was held in 1992.
