Hundreds Embrace Islam in Ghana Village

Hundreds of people in a village in northeastern Ghana have recently converted to Islam.

According to rahyafte(the missionaries and converts website): a total of 473 residents of Yabala village have embraced Islam over the past months.

They learned about Islam thanks to efforts by Mission for Development Institute.

The institute is an Islamic propagation center that is also active in helping those in need, building mosques, etc, in African countries.

Ghana is a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa.

Islam is one of the major religions practiced widely in the country. Its presence in modern-day Ghana dates back to the 10th century.

Muslims in the country make up about 24 percent of the population.
